It’s official

Filed In Announcements

I’m happy to announce that Ewa Powell has officially joined Winkbox. Ewa and I have worked together as a creative team at a North Carolina design firm for four years and we are happy to continue that partnership with Winkbox.

A little background

Ewa emigrated to the U.S. from Poland at the age of twelve. She studied at The University of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland and attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where she received degrees in Graphic Design and Photography & Electronic Media. After graduation she began her career with the largest ad agency in the world, Leo Burnett. Ewa eventually moved to the small, prestigious design boutique Thirst, where she worked under design legend Rick Valicenti. Marriage brought Ewa to North Carolina, where she and her husband are restoring the Old Lincoln Creamery building, raising two children and keeping an eye on their community through their blog.

Moving on

Now that the official announcements are out of the way, Ewa and I will be posting here about our experiences starting a new business, thoughts on design or anything else that strikes our fancy. Check back soon.
