I am nurturing my new found love for the Field Notes journals from Coudal Partners, and I hope it never stops. I am already having visions of shelves and shelves filled with these nice, uniform, hip, little notebooks full of interesting stories and cool illustrations. Martha would be so proud.
My affair started a few months ago when I used the Field Notes to document an exciting week of hiking on the Appalachian Trail. Feeling empty handed after that writing project was completed, I started using my second Field Notes to document the silly things my two kids say and do on daily basis. Each page is a short observation, story or illustration. In an effort to avoid being one of “those” moms that talk too much about kids, here is just a sample of a few of my favorite pages. Volume 2 is already in the works.
P.S. I tried to keep the swear words to a minimum in this Field Notes.
UPDATE: Our friend Todd made a good point below in the comments that credit for Field Notes should also be given to Aaron Draplin.
